Consultation & suitability
Every treatment begins with a consultation to discuss your goals, relevant medical history, suitability and expectations. Treatment may be deferred or declined when it isn't appropriate.
YOUR WELLBEING, ALWAYS
Your wellbeing is central to every treatment decision. My approach prioritises careful assessment, honest communication and personalised care, so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you.
Every treatment begins with a consultation to discuss your goals, relevant medical history, suitability and expectations. Treatment may be deferred or declined when it isn't appropriate.
Before proceeding, you'll have the opportunity to understand the proposed treatment, its potential benefits, material risks, alternatives and costs, and ask questions without pressure.
My practice operates with clinical oversight and standing orders through MObyJC, within the applicable clinical protocols and my scope of practice.
You'll receive treatment-specific aftercare guidance and instructions on how to contact the practice if you have concerns. Potential complications are managed and escalated in accordance with the relevant clinical protocols.
Treatment may be deferred or declined if it isn't appropriate for you. I'll explain the reason and discuss any suitable next steps or alternatives where relevant.
Yes. You can ask questions, take time to consider your options and decline treatment. Consent should be obtained before treatment proceeds.
Follow the aftercare instructions provided and contact the practice using the details given to you. If you experience severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical assessment; call 111 in an emergency. Additionally, contact Nurse Rachelle at 022 111 0058.
Clinical oversight provides a framework for practice through applicable standing orders, protocols and clinical support. It does not eliminate treatment risks or replace an individual clinical assessment.
This page provides general information and does not replace an individual consultation, treatment-specific consent or personalised aftercare instructions.
You're welcome to get in touch to discuss the consultation process or ask questions about your care.
